• Some Might Say We Will Find a Brighter Day //
  • Hello there. I'm Louis, a 16 year old from the sunny English town of Heywood; the home of rapists and racists. Thankfully it isn't too far from God's own City- Manchester. Anyway, you'll mainly find music, films, TV, occasional oddities and anything else which happens to take my fancy on this blog. Enjoy. //

Movies Watched in 2013:
19.) Stand by Me, 1986, dir. by Rob Reiner — 9/10
Rob Reiner’s adaptation of Stephen King’s equally great novella, The Body, is an American classic, and there’s not much use in trying to argue that. It’s perhaps the best coming-of-age story ever committed to screen, and contained some strong performances from actors destined for great things… and also Corey Feldman. Seriously, though, River Phoenix was incredible in this film, and it’s crazy to think about what we missed out on when he died so young. Add in John Cusack, Kiefer Sutherland, and one of the all-time great soundtracks, and you have yourself a great, great movie that will, hopefully, continue to be this effective for many years to come. I miss this Rob Reiner.
